Congregations want to be true to Christ’s vision for His Church.  Generally it is a number of little things, that over time result in a congregation’s vision drifting from Christ’s own vision.  Just the narrowing of a few definitions can have a devastating impact.  Frequently we see that congregations have dramatically narrowed the definitions of important words such as: love, making disciples, others, sacrifice, obedience and more.  As the definitions of key words and thoughts from Jesus’ teaching narrow, so does the vision and ministry of a congregation. 

Every congregation must be committed to maintaining and implementing Christ’s vision for His Church.  Whether a congregation is large or small, rich or poor, vital or struggling they must be intentional and vigilant in their efforts to share Christ’s vision.
